Public Areas

The two public areas managed by the Parish Meeting are The Cricket Pitch and Goodyears Green.

The Cricket Pitch and Pavilion

Situated alongside the A33 between the Jekyll & Hyde and the Esso Garage is the cricket ground, and childrens playground. The playground has recently been updated with the help of Basingstoke and Deane Borough Council. The cricket ground is the home of Stratfield Turgis and Hartley Wespall Cricket Club. The pavilion was erected following a parish meeting on 21st March 1907 at a cost of £29 10 shillings.

Goodyears Green

Situated on the road to Daneshill School it is officially a Village Green but now an area of natural woodland. It's current claim to fame is as the site of a telecoms mast.
