There is now a new system where the officer at the scene issues a form (T60) to the motorist; the second copy goes to a dept who decide the course of action to be taken, with the evidence provided.

Vehicle Crime There were 3 incidents of vehicle crime in May including 2 cars broken into in pub / beauty spot car parks.            

For the second quarter of 2013 the priority will be theft of heating oil – carrying out patrols, having been advised of a delivery. In January, via NHW co-ordinators crime prevention pamphlets were circulated, along with details of alarms & cameras. Residents have been informing the beat team when their oil is being delivered; to date there have been no reported thefts.

Anti-Social Behaviour (ASB) the statistics for May are: there were 14 calls: 7 related to travellers, 3 related to nuisance vehicles, 3 were general nuisance & 1 each for fly tipping & telephone calls.

As always I request that any incidents are reported to 101.

The number of incidents in May, for the beat area was 67 (compared to 77 in 2012; along with the 14 incidents of ASB (compared to 10 in 2012); there were 11 crimes, compared to 24 in 2012 ; the incidents included 2 x dwelling burglaries & 1 x non dwelling burglary. 20 incidents of suspicious activity were reported. The number of incidents across the other beat areas ranged from 27 to 81, with Tadley having 128. The number of ASB incidents ranged from 4 to 15, with Tadley having 28. The number of crimes ranged from 5 to 32, with Tadley having 32.
