Freedom of Information Act 2000 Publication Scheme

The Act applies to all bodies and office holders identified as "public authorities" for the purpose of the Act. Stratfield Turgis parish meeting is one of the authorities listed in Part II of schedule I to the Act. Section 19 of the Act requires this authority to adopt and maintain a publication scheme which has been approved by the Information Commissioner.

The Act aims to promote a culture of openness and accountability amongst public authorities by providing people with a right of access to the information held by them. The Parish meeting therefore will make available information included in the publication scheme and anyone who requests such information may make application to:

The format available includes minutes or notes of parish and committee meetings (limited to the last two years), response to planning applications, annual return form (limited to the last financial year) and annual statutory report-by-auditor (internal and external) limited to the last financial year.
